Dr. Rita Uzoaga, MD
Dr.Rita Uzoaga graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor of Science(Biology) Degree in 1996. She then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch(UTMB) in Galveston from 1997-2001,and afterwards completed a 3-year residency training program. This was at the Brazos Valley Family Medicine Residency, where due to outstanding performance she served as the Chief Resident Officer from 2003-2004. This was all supported by her passion for helping others.
Today, Dr. Rita Uzoaga is fully licensed by the Texas Medical Board and also certified by the American Board of Family Medicine(Diplomate). She is currently building her own practice and is also affiliated with Memorial Hermann Southwest,Triumph, and Cornerstone hospitals as well as the SR Surgical Center. She also serves as the Medical Director for several home health agencies,assisted living facilities,nursing homes,hospice programs,non-emergency ambulance services as well as anti-aging and wellness centers. Dr. Uzoaga is also the Principal Investigator for a clinical research center.

With this in mind, we have arranged for a Cardiologist consultation every week for patients with cardiovascular issues. Dr. Kenneth Otah is a "man of steel" and a renowned Board Certified Cardiologist in the Houston area. He comes in every Thursday morning to evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular issues.

The wife of Dr. Kenneth Otah mentioned above. She is "full of stamina" and loves surgery like "kids love playing with toys". She can stand in the operating room for 10 hrs non-stop doing surgery,and has had to leave her house in the middle of the night and rush to the hospital to perform surgery on several occasions. Dr.Ese Otah also comes in every Thursday morning for surgery consults.

Dr. Sofola is very passionate about his profession and highly dedicated to his patients. He joined us from Bethesda Naval Hospital where he cared for our nation's leaders for several years. He is a highly respected member and board examiner for the American Board of Facial, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery. He has been decorated with several prestigious professional and military honors. We proudly welcome him to family physician,he is a great addition to our team!
